KILT Wins Kusama Parachain Auction Slot #6, Launches Mainnet

Two hours ago KILT was announced as the winner of the 6th Kusama parachain auction. A heartfelt THANK YOU to all our community members who supported us throughout this exciting auction process.

Now that we’ve secured a Kusama parachain slot, we can move to the next phase. The momentous day is finally here: KILT Protocol is live!

We now begin onboarding our global network of collators, who will hold and secure the data of the KILT blockchain and build blocks.

Then we make our first runtime upgrade, introducing governance and Treasury. Governance will be tested internally, leading to our next runtime upgrade where we add KILT functionalities like Decentralised Identifiers (DIDs) and Verifiable Credentials.

When testing of KILT functionalities and the complete system is concluded, we will remove the Sudo key and decentralisation is reached. Our current goal is that these steps would be completed in the next 2–3 months.

The milestones outlined in the diagram below will be announced via the alert bar at the top of kilt.io, and on our official Twitter and Telegram channels.
