Before the hip restaurants and instagramable dishes in Marikina, there was Luyong Restaurant that started it all.

Opened in the 1950s in Marikina City, Luyong has been serving Cantonese dishes that has been fulfilling the appetites of families and has been hosting momentous events for ,mostly, locals’ soiree . From different noodle dishes to spring rolls, Luyong’s menu are full of homegrown recipes spiced up with rich stories.

Oriental Vibe

The Chinese paintings and golden dragons, the red strings dangling on the ceiling which embody a Chinese folklore completes Luyong’s interior. It reminds the Binondo’s best restaurants. The white lights that illuminating the restaurant serves as a delineation to the cleanliness and the purity of dishes that Luyong has to offer. The humble restaurant provides an experience that’s like dining at the famed culinary streets of China.

The spring rolls, and noodle dishes are their best offerings. The tastes are remarkable: a reasons why diners and avid customers always keep on coming back.

One of the owners said that the cultivation of the recipes through times are all the secrets to the distinct flavors that transpired on every dish and seems every dish has a story to narrate.
