Over the past couple of months, a small team of ecosystem participants have been working closely with Kin teams on an exciting new project to bring mainstream advertisers into the Kin Ecosystem. Today, we are very excited to announce the Kin Ads Project.

Our mission is to create a valuable network of connected apps, using Kin as a common currency, where users and developers get compensated for the value of their engagement.

This network will bring advertising dollars into the Kin Ecosystem by implementing well established ad tech infrastructure and tapping into advertiser demand.

Establishing the Kin Ad Network

Our approach is to onboard existing Kin Ecosystem apps into an already setup Kin Ad Network and use the ad-revenue generated on those Kin apps, to convert that income into kin purchases on the open market and therefore causing buying pressure.

We are creating a new utility for kin tokens since they will now work to acquire new users through the Kin Ad Network. Current Kin Ecosystem apps can hold their Kin and eventually become advertisers when they want to attract more users from the other Ecosystem apps.

A reason to be united

The organization we have set up to oversee this initiative will be run as an independent project by the developer community, representing the best interest of the developers in the Kin Ecosystem. We are code complete on the infrastructure and will be announcing apps as they join the Kin Ads Project. When we are live, the code will be released as open-source so that anyone can contribute.
