This week there is lots of buzz around blockchain in Israel as it’s FinTech Week Tel Aviv. Although there were five other blockchain events running last night, a small and mighty crowd of 50 turned up to hear our guest speaker, Omer Shlomovits give us a great run down of Blockchain Cryptography.

For those of you that don’t know, Blockchain Academy is a community of technologists that was created to help developers interested in learning more about blockchain technology. Blockchain Cryptography 101 was our third event, in our ongoing efforts to train and support the next generation of blockchain developers.

As with all our events, this was highly technical and really dug into the code. You can see all the slides here, as well as a video recording below (apologies that the first min is a bit blurry):

If you have any follow up questions, feel free to reach out to Omer directly.

A huge thanks to Omer, as well as to everyone else who made it out to the event last night. We’d also like to give another shoutout and congratulate once again the winners of the “How to build your own blockchain competition”. We invited them all to last nights event, so we could hand them their winnings:

1st Place: Omer Goldberg - Smart Contracts, Accounting Systems, Transaction-based State machine, Secured and Validated Transactions and State Transitions

2nd Place: Sergey Ilyevsky - Transactions Chaining, Signing and a Wallet

3rd Place: Elbar and Shachar - WebCoin — The Browser Based Blockchain

We hope you can join us at our next Blockchain Academy event, stay tuned for details to come!
