Focusing on P2P Value Exchange — Staying True to the Kin White Paper

Since the creation of Kin two years ago, we have made it our goal to become the world’s most used cryptocurrency. According to Kin’s public stat page on Tableau, we are close to achieving this. Today, more than a million individual users have earned and spent Kin. We are now well on our way to achieving our goal of changing how value works online, creating a more fair and open digital economy.

How did we become the most used cryptocurrency in the world? We stayed true to our values and continue to work towards redefining how value is spent in the digital space. Early on, we realized that reaching this goal meant building an economy within the digital space based on real person-to-person interaction and P2P transactions. Keeping our focus on leveraging Kin to improve the user experience using P2P transactions is essential to making a digital economy of equal opportunity a reality.

The key to upholding the Kin ideology is keeping our focus on value exchange. That’s why we encourage app developers to integrate Kin into as many user-to-user experiences as possible. App developers in the ecosystem have already experienced improvement in user engagement as a result of integrating Kin. Tapatalk, Nearby, Madlipz, and Kik are just some of the apps already benefiting from incorporating Kin into their peer-to-peer experiences. It’s a true win-win for everyone that enables users to share and exchange value directly between each other.

P2P exchange is the key to the Kin project’s success. For Kin to be successful, everyone needs to be able to participate and use Kin as money in the ecosystem. Transactions can now move between anyone in the ecosystem, between app developers and users, from users to developers, and between users and other users inside different apps within the ecosystem.
