I am extremely excited to be starting a new adventure with the Kin Foundation as the Community & Marketing Manager. After being recruited from the community as an early supporter and app founder, I was lucky enough to work directly with the team at Kik Interactive to complete many projects that I am proud to have been a part of.

From the creation of an open system for Kin Improvement Proposals that allows anyone to review or submit input on the development of the Kin Rewards Engine, to the formation of a Kin Community Council and creation of grant and rewards programs to incentivize contribution, I have always been a staunch believer in the importance of community in building a successful cryptocurrency network. After all — there is nothing that the top cryptocurrency projects have accomplished that can’t also be achieved by the Kin Community. With additional support from the Kin Foundation, the possibilities for what the ecosystem of developers, users, and supporters can realize are endless.

For that reason, my first priority will be to work on evolving the community structure. This will include creating more options to contribute as well as a refresh of many of the resources available today. I will also be working with William Mougayar and the upcoming Executive Director to energize our communications across various online forums and social media, and support marketing programs to strengthen the Kin brand. You can look forward to a renewed strategy that is informed by business objectives as our team and priorities continue to evolve.

Kin has one of the most vibrant and healthy communities in crypto. There are very few circles in the industry as constructive and objective as ours, and there is one thing that unites all of us: the desire to build a better digital world, where users and developers are aligned. I often say that while other projects have “armies”, Kin has a family — and I am proud to be a part of that family.

I look forward to reconnecting with community members and forging new relationships. If you would like to connect, my Twitter handle is @KRicoyLL and you can also catch me moderating the official Kin Foundation Reddit channel as Kevin_from_Kin.
