Meet the Developer Platform Team!
To drive mainstream adoption of Kin, consumers need real use cases for cryptocurrency. We believe that these use cases are in the digital, not physical, world. But up until now, developers who create these digital experiences haven’t been equipped with tools to easily integrate cryptocurrency into the apps and platforms that mainstream consumers use.
To bridge this gap, the Kin Developer Platform team is building a self-serve, decentralized platform that makes it easy for any developer to create Kin-powered experiences on their own. The Kin Developer Platform includes the Kin SDK, which is available for iOS, Android and Python, along with the resources needed for easily and efficiently creating Kin integrations, like documentation and best practices. With these tools readily available, developers can focus on building killer apps, while letting Kin handle the rest.
And now let’s meet the team!
Ayelet Laub, product manager
Ayelet joined Kin three months ago as a product manager for the Kin Developer Platform. She merges past experience in research and development with an expertise in product management to make the vision for the Kin Developer Platform a reality. Since joining the team, Ayelet has led the product side of the Kin Developer Program, which has helped define the functionality of the Kin SDK. When she is not at work, she loves to play the piano and travel as much as possible.
Yossi Segev, team lead
Yossi spent the last seven years building native mobile applications, primarily in the entertainment and social categories — both of which are relevant to Kin. Until recently, he was co-leading the Android Academy TLV community, advocating Android app development and creating content for developers and mobile designers of all levels. Yossi believes that developing communities is vital for every platform, hence why the community engagement side is so important to him. He loves mentoring people and helping people achieve their highest potential.
Ron Serruya, backend developer
Ron is a backend developer at Kin who focuses on infrastructure, and the Python SDK. When he’s not at work, Ron is a video game and PC-building enthusiast who loves music, soccer, coding, and learning new things. He hopes to start his computer science degree next year. His motto is: “没问题” — Moumantai (No problem/Take it easy).
Yossi Rizgan, senior engineer
Yossi is an an experienced client side developer, having worked on everything from fancy UI to complex systems. He has an interest in software architecture and design, and he strives to produce clean, maintainable, and testable code. When he is not busy working with the blockchain team, he is sharing his knowledge with the TLV Android Academy, or volunteering as an Android developer at Startach. His motto is “Hakuna Matata” — well, at least that’s what his daughters play on TV at home.
Ravit Bar, Android/backend developer
Ravit joined the team as a senior web developer specializing in front-end development. Coding is not only a profession for her — it’s also a hobby. She is passionate about expanding her knowledge, and over time, she has grown into more fields, contributing as an Android developer, and even working her magic on the back-end. When she’s not at work you can find her on the trail, traveling around, studying French, or riding her bicycle (sometimes all at the same time). Her motto is: “The best way out is always through”.
Amitai Efrati, senior Android developer
Amitai is a new addition to the Developer Platform team. He is a software engineer with vast experience in Android development. Amitai is passionate about the mobile ecosystem, especially Android. He’s interested in design patterns, clean architecture, SOLID, clean code, and more. When he’s not at work, he’s either spending time with his new baby, playing PlayStation, or choosing his next travel destination.
Corey Werner, iOS developer
Last but not least, Corey is the newest member of the Developer Platform team. Corey entered the tech scene as a web developer and graphic designer. After becoming a CSS wizard, he started creating iOS themes for Cydia. Wanting to do more on the iPhone, he learned how to build hybrid, cross-platform, and native apps. He spent a few years writing server code as well, but his passion is with UI/UX.
