The local church can be a confusing place in the United States. Some church-goers have strong ‘political’ opinions that they deem are “mandated by God.” If you disagree, you might as well be the anti-Christ. Other church-goers are insistent that the church should have no involvement in politics what-so-ever. The possibility of a conversation about society is nearly impossible with such church-goers.
