January 16–18, the James L. Knight Center will welcome back a throng of decentralized movers and shakers for The North American Bitcoin Conference — a Keynote event. And before the conference, Kingsland University is offering an executive education opportunity for those ready to add blockchain to their repertoire.

Join us for something new.

The 2019 conference is unlike any of its predecessors. This time around, TNABC is the centerpiece in a whole week of blockchain and crypto events in Miami. With the event attracting crowds from all over the country, the inaugural Miami Blockchain Week is extending the discussion, networking, and brainstorming the conference is known for into an entire week of opportunities, rather than just few days.

“Building a week full of events that’ll enrich the blockchain ecosystem, get people talking, and keep people thinking is exceptional,” said Keynote Founder, Moe Levin. “Our platform has expanded, including more topics, more locations, more opportunities for people to connect in ways that best reflect their trajectories.”

But wait: There’s more.

As the Official Education Partner of TNABC 2019, Kingsland University is thrilled to mark the special occasion with a first of our own: In the days before the conference, we’re launching our pilot Executive Education program on January 15–16 as part of the inaugural Miami Blockchain Week.

Kingsland University’s Executive Education program is formulated to bring executives and employees alike up to speed on the blockchain revolution and how it’s disrupting every industry. The curriculum provides rigorous, non-technical training about harnessing the power of the decentralized future for your business’s benefit.

Designed to help executives future-proof their businesses and individual skill sets, the Blockchain Executive 2-Day Fast-Track features case studies to prove the real-world relevance of blockchain’s disruptive entrance into enterprise alongside interactive discussions surrounding the leadership challenges attached to developing blockchain strategy. Students will emerge from the course with a strategic understanding of how to leverage blockchain for a competitive advantage, as we teach them how to:

  • Master the basics of blockchain technology
  • Discover the worldwide blockchain impact and applications
  • Gain strategic knowledge required to innovate blockchain solutions
  • Acquire skills needed to lead successful blockchain projects
  • Future-proof executive skills

“We’ve spoken at length about the blockchain developer shortage, but there’s prerequisite considerations that need to be made long before companies can even contend with the talent draught, and the most significant among them is establishing executive understanding of blockchain’s disruptions and potential,” said Kingsland Founder and CEO, John Souza. “Enterprise executives enact change from the top down, so we have to educate accordingly.”

Learn from the best.

Like all Kingsland course offerings, the executive education program was crafted in cooperation with notable blockchain icons. Alex Lightman — a key collaborator and the chief instructor of our executive education — is an MIT graduate with a lengthy resume of blockchain advisory roles, tech innovations, successful speaking engagements, and thought-leading publications.

“I’m thrilled to share what I’ve learned from industry experts with people who want to accelerate their ability to incorporate Blockchain technology in their companies,” said Lightman. “The Blockchain community is very generous and welcoming to those who can embrace new vocabulary, concepts and values, but this new ‘system of the world’ can be intimidating at first. I wanted to share through this course what I wish people had told me years ago, and open up new possibilities for a better, more truthful, trustworthy, and secure Internet, and make Blockchain go mainstream faster.”

For Lightman, blockchain education initiatives aimed at executives create a more inclusive environment than we’ve seen before, encouraging progress in this space. Kingsland’s program is an ideal step in that direction.

“I want corporate America to feel more welcome and invited to join the cryptosphere,” he said. “I think people who take this first Kingsland Executive course will look back and feel that we were part of something remarkable.”

Hosted in Miami, Florida, the Blockchain Executive 2-Day Fast-Track will initiate the global distribution of Kingsland’s executive training that will scale to several worldwide locations in 2019.

The course will serve as one of the abundant activities of the very first Miami Blockchain Week, an entire seven days celebrating and enriching the blockchain ecosystem. From the North American Bitcoin Conference to the Miami Bitcoin Hackathon, a packed schedule will draw thousands of blockchain influencers, utilizers, and newcomers to Florida’s bustling beachside metropolis this January.
