KIPPsters Join NFL Players at Fantasy Pro Football Camp

Over 100 KIPP LA middle school students joined Brentwood School’s NFL Fantasy Pro Football Camp in July.

Students met and performed drills with their favorite NFL players like Dak Prescott, Barkevious Mingo, Joseph Addai, Demaryius Thomas, and Aqib Talib during the week-long camp before participating in a scrimmage tournament with the other campers.

Hear from the KIPP campers and instructors in the highlights video below.

Jamal O’Quinn, the director of Physical Education at KIPP Scholar Academy and a chaperone at the camp, shared that “the thing I love most about playing sports is that you need teamwork, you need to depend on each other, which we all need to do in our communities, and show grit and optimism.”

Our KIPPsters certainly displayed teamwork, grit, and optimism during their time at Brentwood School and we have much gratitude toward Brentwood School and LourdMurray for their sponsorships.

See you next season. Go KIPPsters!
