My take on the book:
Launch your life to the next level — as the title suggests is a definitive guide for those who intend to take their life to the next level, especially those with an improvement mindset.
The book is divided into three sections with the first section talking about the Kaizen process, improvement mindset, the three golden questions to ask oneself, and the tools required to climb the growth ladder — the 5 Ss phases, which the author further amended to 5.5 Ss of transformation.
The second section explains each of these 5.5 Ss — Select, Start Small, Schedule, Surroundings, Stay On, Seek help. The third section is in question-and-answer format, where the author addresses some of the common questions/hurdles faced in our everyday life.
The highlight of the book is the narration style as the author gives examples from his own life, of his students, and of other famous people to explain each of the concepts. These examples help to understand and relate to the concepts easily, making the book reachable to even common people.
There are few exercises at end of few chapters that the reader can fill as per their life experiences or as per their understanding of the concepts discussed. I also like how the author provided a summary at end of each chapter as a list called Key Takeaways.
Even though I read many self-help books, I like to always pick one more, since a well written book from this genre always has something new to offer to the reader; or works as a reminder. Since the concepts explained in this book are easy to implement in everyday life, this book will work as a helpful guide to improve out life one step and one day at a time.
Pick this one if you like to develop a growth mindset and would like to take small but meaningful steps towards your goals.
