My take on the book:

My little book of Love by Priya Kumar is all about love, divided into 9 parts, with each part/chapter dealing with one topic related to Love. Each chapter starts with a beautiful illustration, one-two pages on the topic, couple of quotes thrown together with illustrations again, space for the reader to jot down their thoughts on the topic, and empty space again for the reader to doodle.

All the nine chapters follow the same template though the topic changes; hence the book can be treated overall as a journal on love — that can be filled in by the reader as well. The book therefore makes for a perfect gift with a catchy cover. The illustrations also follow a pattern of involving only black and red colors, making them look striking. The actual content and especially the quotes are not necessarily new but are meant more as a reminder to the reader.

The author makes a strong connect with the reader with the narration style, doodles, and overall layout of the book. Pick this one to add a beautiful boom to your collection or as a gift for your loved ones.

My rating:

3/5.
