In the Mist of the Early Morning Dew

I will always be with you.

I. The One

As the trees sprinkle early morning dew

I long to be with you

And after the memories have faded

Even the ones that are Jaded

I will remain with you

As pure as the morning dew

II. The Other

Never a kind thought had you sent my way

Heartfelt from then until this day

Only when I feel blue

Do I think of you

Not for a smile it would bring

Not for a song we used to sing

Because sadness is all you bring

And sadness, with you, my everything

III. The Choice

I release you at last

I cast you to my past

No need for you I possess

No tender moments to caress

And there you shall remain

In a place without the pain

Suspended in time for eternity

Jettisoned for all antiquity
