Relevant

What is relevant information?
Data which is applicable to the situation or problem at hand that can help solve a problem or contribute to a solution. (Source: business dictionary)

Also, User experience (UX) design is the process of creating products that provide meaningful and relevant experiences to users. (source: interaction design org)

A first time user (from India) thinks of trying out promoting of a tweet on twitter.

1. Select “Get Started”.
2. Select “Country” and “Time Zone”.

Issue 1:
On country selection the time zone drop down do not refined to the relevant value. Instead shows all the time zones when selected “India” as country. The list should show or pre-select “India Standard Time”.

The user loses a lot of time browsing through the entire “Time Zone” drop down list. This causes high level of frustration to the user while accomplishing the goal. Do not overload user with a long list of information.

Issue 2:
India is included in the list of availing this service but there is no “Time zone” relevant to the country. Surprisingly, It can be seen in the video that other asian countries time zone are available except “India”. Am I missing something? Doing something wrong?

User aborts the task as it could not be achieved. Twitter loses an opportunity to gain a valuable paid customer.

Thanks for reading.
