Global 2000 executives are ramping up their innovation efforts at a time when disruption is increasing and inevitable. But 94% of C-level executives are dissatisfied with innovation efforts (McKinsey) and fewer than 1 in 5 corporate innovators are satisfied with initiatives in any part of the business (KITE).

When you blend the state of innovation with the creative and dynamic chaos of the annual SXSW festival in Austin each March — a must-attend for many major corporations — you can be simultaneously inspired and overwhelmed.

That’s why we’ve carefully curated our fourth year of SXSW Startup Village content to highlight approaches that are showing promise, what global scale of promising efforts looks like, and how to have difficult but necessary conversations about innovation at the board of directors level.

We have secured top leaders from media (Comcast NBUniversal), automotive (Vollkswagen), government (U.S. Air Force), financial services (BBVA) and consumer goods (Unilever, Molson Coors) to share their experiences and insights on innovation strategy and startup partnerships. This is a rare opportunity for corporate innovators to meet and learn from one another as we push for increasing satisfaction and achieving better outcomes.

Please join us at the Hilton Austin Downtown, Room 400–402 from 9:30am to 1:30pm on Saturday, March 10 (session details below). & #KITESXSW.

ALSO: We’re co-hosting YurHouse powered by Samsung Next on Sunday, March 11 at Galvanize (119 Nueces St). This event is 100% women speakers, investors, founders and presenters, and it’s your go-to destination for innovative & inclusive programming. Please join us for conversations on startup innovation, marketing, female founders and investment — including a fireside chat with Emily Chang of Bloomberg TV — as well as a startup competition featuring a diverse group of founders.

Let’s meet in Austin. Ping sxsw@getkite.co for an invite to our private brunch Sunday, March 11 and/or to set up a time to meet in person.

Technology disruption can instantly add or obliterate billions of dollars in market cap for Global 2000 enterprises. Since boards govern a company’s long-term strategic health, directors must possess new skill sets and take on responsibilities to navigate disruption that’s increasing and inevitable. We’ll cover what’s working well and what’s not at the board level, how board composition and focus are evolving, and more with an all-star panel of directors who understand the innovation imperative.
