Wa’Yppe the Bound

Wa’Yppe ran her right hand through her short hair. She found bits and pieces of her enemies. She wondered if perhaps she should shave it again. Furthermore, it was a bleak reminder for how fast time passes. She also felt that long hair took too much of her precious time from her to take care of it. It was a nightmare to keep in the southern areas. Not only the blood of her enemies that dried up into a nasty gunk, but her back would also sweat as if it tried to escape drop by drop.

She was sitting on the back of an enemy she had leapt on and slashed the throat of. She stood up and tried to get a better view if any of the Scorpion Gang members were still alive.

She took quiet steps in the crepid house. Everything was covered by a perfect layer of sand, but none of the footsteps helped her further. She realised that there was quite a mess there now, but it didn’t matter. She wondered when this shoddy desert town had last seen another soul passing through.

From the corner of her eye she saw one of the more whimpier guys trying to sneak out of the back door. But there was no mercy in her for the followers of their Overlord.

"Wathenna!" she yelled, and from behind her left shoulder a green smoke appeared. It crawled across her arm creating her an iron shield that looked much like a turtle’s shell.

"Yppedan!" she yelled once more to ready herself for a fight, and a red smoke twisted around her right arm starting from her shoulder. Her mighty roar had conjured a kris sword for her.

She ran towards the last member of this gang and made quick business of the last of this cursed beings. Thrusting the sword through his back without mercy.

She then headed onwards with her journey. Many have tried to stop her. Assassins, mercenaries, and now she can cross a whole gang off her "achievement" list.

As everyone’s, her time in this life was on a clock. The only difference: she knew exactly how much time she had left. The same amount of time she had to solve the riddle she was given by the mad arcanist who bound her mother and father to her body and soul. For the naked eye they looked like an intricate tattoo or a painting on her skin, but the more knowledgeable could tell it was a death sentence written on her body. No human had space in their body or their mind to carry more than one soul. But she had the will and the power. She even had the strength to call them for help.

Wa’Yppe had not even been given a name when her parents were bound to her. When she was old enough she chose to honour them by taking both of their names, and carrying them with her completely.

Her life mission: find out why the arcanist did such a foul deed and kill him for what he had done.
