Badlands Biome

Introduction

Pick up your pickaxe and dig deep into the mines on the Badlands! This biome is arguably the best choice out there for mining, offering numerous advantages that make it stand out for all gemstone enthusiasts. The Badlands are rugged lands full of mines waiting to be discovered. These lands have harder soil, making farming more challenging. Moreover, the dry lands are less comfortable for fishing compared to most of the other professions. Other than its rich mines, badlands are also well known for their few but unique cities. You can find various interesting items or get involved in mesmerizing stories in the quests that will be offered to you here.

Effects on Professions

Badlands probably have the most significant stat improvements on mining out of all the biomes, but also bring some serious disadvantages for farming and fishing with themselves. Make sure to be well aware of this biome’s postitives and negatives before setting your sights on getting one!

Farming:

• 20% wood drop increase from wood trees (does not include magic trees)
• 5% Farming XP decrease
• The chance to grow to the next growth stage decreases by 10% for all animals except horses and rabbits
• The chance to grow to the next growth stage decreases by 20% for all plants and trees except wood trees
• Some types of herbs do not grow in these lands
• Some types of protective flowers do not grow in these lands

Mining:

• XP for all mining activities is increased by 11%
• XP increase for leveling up increases by 10% per level. (XP increase will be 11.4% per level instead of 10.4%)
• Mine layer 6 is only available in this biome and in the stone biome
• None of the mine layers are toxic in these lands
• All rock types have a 20% chance of dropping double ores
• All mining tools’ endurance decreases 15% slower
• Energy decreases 10% slower while mining
• 15% higher chance of finding silver, gold, and platinum
• One type of rock can only be found in mines of this biome

Cooking:

• Cooking speed is increased by 20% on fireplaces
• XP is increased by 15% on fireplaces
• One type of recipe can only be cooked in this region

Crafting:

• XP for all crafting items that have mined materials is increased by 10%
• Crafting “Repair Kits” gives 20% more XP

Alchemy:

• 15% lower XP for making all types of potions
• 15% higher XP for making all types of amulets and talismans
• 2.6% more KANDY for transmutation

Fishing:

• You can’t increase the size of your pond in this region
• Some fish types cannot be cultivated here (even in aquariums)
• KANDY gained from aquariums is decreased by 5%

Badlands are one of the rarer biomes in the Kitsumon world, offering rare gem mines, various dungeons, and a vast open land to discover. If you are interested in mining, not only will the mines in your land plot be better in this biome, but you will also be able to explore and mine the unique mines available in the open world of this biome.
