Introduction

Become a legendary chef in the Kitsumon world by pursuing the cooking profession and preparing delicious meals for yourself, other players, and most importantly your Kitsus! Use the diverse set of tools available to equip your kitchen and unlock recipes that will give you the ability to cook meals that will not only improve your and your Kitsu’s abilities, but also boost your morale and happiness! There are several dozens of different food types that you can prepare and by progressing in this profession you will unlock better tools and more complex recipes to satisfy anyone who walks to your door for a delicious meal!

Tools

The Fireplace is the most basic place you can cook at! You can only cook basic food at a fireplace as you cannot place pots or frying pans on a fireplace. Baked potatoes, fried meat, baked mushrooms, and cooked fish are some of the things you can cook at a fireplace. There are no upgrades available for fireplaces, and they use burning wood to keep burning.

Ovens allow you to cook cakes, pizzas, and many other types of food. There are several upgrades to ovens which add features such as auto turn off oven when cooked, auto populate the ingredients in the pot or pan, and decrease cooking time. Each upgrade also can increase your XP gained from cooking each food.

Stoves are one of the most fundamental cooking instruments that chefs can use to prepare the vast majority of the recipes. There will be 5 upgrades to stoves, decreasing food burning chance, decreasing cooking time, and increasing XP gained from cooking. Ingredients of the food that are cooked on stoves need to be added separately and at specific times, so be careful not to burn your food!

You can make 10 different types of sandwiches on a Sandiwch making table. Prepare your ingredients and add them in the correct order to make a delicious sandwich and carry it with yourself to eat whenever you feel hungry or in need of an energy boost!

Casks can age ingredients and turn them into products that are essential for cooking. Store milk in casks to turn it into cheese and butter, or store grape juice to get cooking wine!

Ice cream makers can mix ingredients needed to create an ice-cream and freeze them to give you sweet ice cream in different flavors. Besides trainers that love the taste of ice cream, Kitsus also show great interest in eating it before starting their day!

Cake tins are utensils used to bake cakes and pies. You can prepare your ingredients and put them in a cake tin and put them into an oven to bake yourself a delicious cake.

Pans are probably the most crucial kitchen utensils alongside pots. Most of the stews and dishes are made either in a pan or a pot. Pans are used for frying ingredients on stoves, or putting them in ovens.

Buckets are one of the basic ingredients used for storing and carrying all types of liquids. You can pour water, juice, milk, etc. in a bucket and use it in your kitchen whenever you need it.

Plates are one of the most common utensils used for serving food. You can serve many types of food on a plate and in order to carry them with you in your inventory you will need to have them on plates first. Other than their use in cooking, they also have value based on the material they are made of.

Knives are the only tools used for cutting different ingredients such as vegetables, fruits, meat, etc. Not all types of knives can cut everything, so there are 5 different levels of upgrades for knives so that you can cut everything you want in order to cook your favorite meal.

As mentioned before, pots are the most essential utensils in cooking alongside pans. Pots are used for preparing stews, soups, and many other types of food.

Similar to plates, bowls are used for serving food. You can serve stews and ice creams and several other types of food in bowls and just like plates, it is the only way you can carry these types of food in your inventory.

Glasses are used to store liquids. Almost all types of consumable liquids such as juices, water, milk, etc. can be stored in glasses. Glasses can hold only a small portion of liquid but they are the only things that you can directly consume liquids from. So, if you want to drink a nice cold glass of orange juice, make sure you pour it in a glass first. Glasses full of liquids that are stored in the inventory, can be consumed directly. Liquids stored in glasses don’t expire.

Similar to glasses, jugs are also used to store liquids; However they are bigger and can store more liquids. You cannot drink directly from jugs, but you can store them in your inventory, use them in cooking, or pour them into any other place.

Kettles are used for boiling water and making different types of tea or coffee. There are dedicated Kettles for each type of drink.

Buildings

Kitchens are the main buildings in cooking. After leveling up a few levels when you unlock stoves, ovens, and other cooking tools, you will need to have a kitchen to store all these tools in and be able to cook meals. Basically, other than food types that can be made on a fireplace, to prepare all the other food types you will need to own a kitchen and cook them inside a kitchen. Kitchens can be upgraded multiple times as you level up in cooking, allowing you to use better types of tools, and also giving you cooking stat-boosts such as reducing the chance to burn your food and increasing the XP gained from cooking.

Mills are buildings used in both farming and cooking. Farmers harvest crops and put them into mills for them to turn into materials that can be used in cooking. Mills can turn cereal harvests into cooking ingredients. For example, they turn wheat into flour, corn into grains of corn, sugar canes into sugar cubes and more. Mills are upgradable buildings and upgrading them will fasten the processes, increases the capacity of the mill, and will also allow you to process more types of crops.

You can store your hay inside silos and feed your animals whenever they are hungry. Storing any type of plants in a silo will turn them into hay. Upgrading your silo will not only increase its capacity, but also it will add auto transfer capability to your silo as well, allowing you to automatically transfer hay from silos to barns, coops, etc.

Ingredients

Meat is one of the most important ingredients in cooking. There are several types of meat in Kitsumon that can be obtained from different animals that you raise or hunt. These include red meat obtained from sheep and cows, chicken meat, rabbit meat, pork, and more. You can cook and eat some types of meat on the fireplace without having to add any other ingredients.

Fish are the backbone of all seafood. There are several dozens of fish meats that you can use in cooking different meals. Some meals can be cooked with any type of fish meat but some other recipes require specific types. These meals are usually more expensive and boost your stats better! You can also cook and eat some fish types on a fireplace by themselves.

Baked potatoes are one of the most basic foods that you can prepare in the world of Kitsumon. even though there are various other applications for potatoes, you can simply bake them on a fireplace and eat them to regain a small portion of your health.

Bread is a fundamental food and also an ingredient for many different recipes. You can simply make bread by adding water to flour and putting it into an oven. You can either eat it, or use it to make sandwiches and other meals.

You can make and store wheels of cheese by letting milk turn into cheese inside a Keg. You can eat cheese as-is, or you can use it to prepare a variety of delicious meals.

Flour is made from wheat inside mills. Flour is the main ingredient of bread and it is also an important ingredient for cakes, pies, pizza breads, and more.

Milk is a regular harvest of sheep and cows. Drink some milk if you feel exhausted, or make delicious ice cream, cakes, and desserts.

Butter is another product of milk that is stored in a Keg. Butter can be used as cooking oil to prepare some food types, and it is also an ingredient for cakes and ice cream. You can eat butter too, but be careful because although it recovers some health initially, it might get you sick!

The world of Kitsumon is full of trees and bushes that you can grow. Some of these trees will give you juicy, colorful and delicious fruits that you can eat or use to flavor your ice-creams and cakes. You can also make juices and other beverages with these fruits. There are many different fruit types, such as mango, bananas, peaches, apples, oranges, pineapples, cherries, strawberries, melons, … and each one of them has a different unique taste that can help trainers and Kitsus improve their stats.

Similar to potatoes, you can bake mushrooms that you raise or find and eat them to gain different stat-boosts. Not all mushrooms are edible though. The 2 main edible mushrooms are normal mushrooms and oyster mushrooms. You can use both of these mushrooms as an ingredient for other meals too, so don’t eat them all! There is also one more type of scarce edible mushroom which gives you no actual stats boost, and we will let you find out what it does for yourself!

Similar to mushrooms, there are 2 types of herbs in the game. Edible herbs and potion herbs. Edible herbs such as parsley and rosemary are used as ingredients in many different dishes to make them become tastier. They are often optional in some of the dishes but make sure you add them because it will make them much more effective and much more delicious.

Vegetables such as carrots, tomatoes, bell peppers, etc. are pretty common in many recipes. Make sure you grow enough of them, so that you don’t run out of tomatoes when you are cooking a soup! You can eat some of these vegetables such as tomatoes as is, but they won’t really do any good!

Cereals include rice, wheat, barley, and corn. Sugar canes also grow almost identical to these so we will include them here as well. You can grow wheat in your farming patch on your plot of land, put it inside a mill and turn it into flour. You can also store them inside your silos to turn them into hay. There are various applications for cereals in Kitsumon, so make sure you grow all types of them and know what to do with each one.

Spices are usually optional ingredients that you can add to different recipes to make them tastier and more effective. Spices have different effects on trainers and kitsus and can be used in several meals. Spices include cinnamon, ginger, coriander, black pepper and more; all of them are grown in a unique way.

Are you in a hurry and have no food to take with you on your next journey? Just fry or boil some eggs. Eggs are obtained from chickens and can be fried on pans, boiled, or used as ingredients in more complex and beneficial meals. They are also one of the basic ingredients for cakes.

Most of the meals that are cooked in a pan on a stove require oil. You can fry potatoes, eggs, meat, and may other types of food with oil. Cooking oil is also needed for several other meals as well. Oil can be extracted from animal fat, sunflowers, and more. Most of the time you can use butter as a substitute for oil.

Water, the driving force of all nature. The uses of water in this game are countless and one of them is in cooking. Water is needed in many different recipes such as stews, soup, bread etc., and trainers and Kitsus also need water to avoid dehydration. Although you can use pond water and river water in farming and fishing, it is not drinkable and cannot be used in cooking. For cooking make sure you always get water from wells.

Food

In need of a delicious sweet cake? You can make one in Kitsumon; Several actually! From chocolate cakes to cheese cakes, all are available in the world of Kitsumon. You just need to find the recipe and own the right tools to make it, and then all you have to do is to bring it to life and eat it or give it to your Kitsus. They really love cakes too.

Do you like pineapple on pizza? No worries, we got the pizza that suits your taste. There are 5 different types of pizzas you can make, all with different ingredients. Find the recipes, gather the ingredients, get them ready, and then put them inside an oven for a succulent pizza.

You like an apple pie to enjoy before farming, heading into the mines, or wandering in the wild? Then you are in luck, there are 7 types of pies you can make in Kitsumon, from apple pies to coconut pies and even pumpkin pies. Grow the fruits needed for these pies and make delicious treats for yourself or sell them in the marketplace. There always is someone who wants to have a pie. They are super effective, and super delicious.

We all love ice cream, and no one knows why, but Kitsus love ’em too! Buy or craft an ice cream machine and put the ingredients needed inside it to make an ice cream for yourself or your kitsus. You can also add fruits to change the flavor and also change the effect as well.

Beef stews, vegetable stews, mushroom stews and potato stews are only some of the stews you can make in Kitsumon. Stews are one of the more complex food types you can make in Kitsumon, making them more valuable. You can make stews in a pot inside an oven or on a stove. They give players and Kitsus noticeable stats improvements, and get them ready for different challenges.

Get yourself a sandwich making table and put it inside your kitchen. Congratulations! Now you have all you need to make a sandwich. From burgers, to chicken sandwiches to a simple peanut butter and jelly, all can be made if you are good enough in cooking.

Kitsus are wondrous creatures, unique in every possible way. The food they eat is not an exception. Although Kitsus can eat all types of food that humans can, there are also some unique foods you can make for your kitsus to prepare them for what’s ahead. You must be a master chef to be able to make these foods, and you also must be very precise as these food burn really fast!

Cooking Quests

As a chef you must prepare for quests that can be as simple as preparing a simple meal for a friend, or as complex as finding a dragon egg and cooking a mystical meal with it that can earn you magical cooking gloves. Look for NPCs across all the cities, to unlock these cooking quests and follow them for a great time and even better rewards!
