Introduction

Farming is one of the most diverse and complex professions in the world of Kitsumon. Get ready to experience farming and nurture your plants and animals like never before! In Kitsumon’s Farming profession you can plant over 50 types of different plants, trees, mushrooms and herbs with your harvests being useable in cooking, alchemy, and to sell on the marketplace. You will also have various types of buildings such as barns, stables and coops to raise animals and have a happy farm full of diverse life. Just don’t forget to feed them! With all the tools available for farming, you can engage in any way you want in a land full of opportunities to progress in farming! Keep upgrading and enhancing your tools and you will find yourself making a fortune out of farming while having fun at the same time!

Tools

Scythes are used for harvesting crops. There are two types of craftable scythes in the game, one for harvesting cereals and one for crops. Each type is upgradeable and the upgrades will improve multiple stats such as stamina and range.

Timber! And the trees fall down! Grow trees like Oak, Willow and Yew and chop them down with axes for wood. You can also find and chop down trees in the wild. Different types of wood can be used in constructing different types of buildings or crafting various tools. There are 10 different types of axes each with their own unique look and feel. Each type can be upgraded to become more efficient. Upgrades will also allow you to add runes to your axes and boost them with permanent features!

Shovels are one of the handiest tools in farming. Their main purpose is to dig, but digging is needed in more aspects of farming than you think! From making your ponds bigger, to making a well, and removing dead plants from the ground, all requires digging. Shovels are also used for harvesting ground plants and roots such as potatoes, beets, and carrots. Similar to axes, there are 10 different types of shovels with various upgrades for each one.

Knives are multi-profession tools. They are mainly used in cooking to cut fruits, meat, and other things. However, they are also used in farming. Farmers can use knives to pick some types of herbs or to get meat from their animals. There are 5 types of knives in Kitsumon that can be bought from the marketplace or crafted by progressing in the crafting profession.

Secateurs are used for pruning dead branches of trees. Trees might get diseases on your farm and to cure them you will need to prune the dead branches of these trees. There are 3 types of secateurs, each of which can be upgraded.

All the plants in your farm need water to grow, and the most fundamental way to water them is to use watering cans. Watering cans can be filled from all the water sources across the Kitsumon world like ponds, wells, rivers, and seas. Watering cans vary in capacity, watering range, and subsequently in value!

Before planting a seed, you will need to till the soil and make it ready for the seed to be planted. To do this, you will need a hoe. Hoes are used for tilling soil, and although this is their only purpose, they are very commonly used as all the seeds need a tilled soil to be planted in. There is only 1 type of hoe in the game but you can upgrade it to increase its range and efficiency.

Weeds can be exasperating on your farm, causing diseases and drinking up all your water, preventing your plants from growing. To remove weeds from your farm, you will need to remove them using a rake! Rakes are extremely useful tools and can get rid of weed on your land for good! There is only one type of rake in the game, and just like the hoe, it can be upgraded too.

Buildings

Barns are buildings in which you can grow, feed and breed your cows, sheep, and pigs. Barns can be upgraded to include breeding paddocks, feeding benches, and an automatic hay transfer system. Basic barns can be upgraded to special barns, and special barns can be upgraded to deluxe barns. Other than the mentioned features, upgraded barns also have bigger capacity, give more XP, and decrease animals’ disease chance.

Stables are similar to barns, but they are for horses! Similar to barns they also have 3 different types, basic, special, and deluxe.

Coops are also buildings used for breeding animals. They are dedicated to chickens and rabbits. Similar to barns and stables, upgraded coops have breeding paddocks, feeding benches, and the hay transfer system.

To get honey and use it to bake cakes and other food, you will need a Bee House. By having a bee house on your farm, alongside some flowers, you will always get a steady supply of delicious honey! The better the Bee House’s type, the more honey you will get in shorter time.

Ponds are available all across the Kitsumon world, even on your land plots. You can use ponds to water your plants and to raise fish inside of them. Pond size can be increased by digging out the land tiles beside them.

Warehouses are storages that can be used to store almost anything. They can be upgraded to increase their capacity or to add bonuses to items stored in them.

Silos are used for storing hay. They can be upgraded to automatically deliver hay from the silo to where they are needed, such as barns, coops, and stables.

Mills are buildings in which wheat, rice, sugar, etc. are processed and turned into useable items such as flour. Mills have different types which vary in capacity, speed, and functionality.

Wells are sources of clean water that can be used in cooking. We should keep in mind that the water from ponds cannot be used in cooking, so to cook, you will need a well to extract clean water from.

Greenhouses are buildings that are used to grow plants indoors. Greenhouses are crucial to farming because they drop the chance of disease to almost 0% and some plants can only grow in greenhouses.

Animals

Sheep are one of the most precious animals you can grow in a farm. You can use their meat and fat in cooking, their wool in tailoring clothes, and their milk to drink or create cheese and butter.

Like sheep, you can raise cows to harvest their milk, get their meat, or breed them to increase their number. You can also use cows’ leather in tailoring clothes.

Pigs are barn animals that can be raised to produce ham, fat and bacon. Pigs breed more commonly, and even though they don’t have any continuous harvests like milk, they can still give you farming XP for breeding, being fed, and more.

Chickens are one of the first animals that are unlocked in Kitsumon. You can grow your chickens in coops and use their eggs in cooking. You can also harvest their meat and feathers.

Rabbits live in coops with chickens. They produce wool and you can also use their meat in cooking to cook various stews and prepare delicious dishes.

Horses are the main means of transportation in Kitsumon. They unlock after noticeable progress in farming, and they allow players to travel faster and longer distances. Horses live in stables and can be sold in the marketplace to other players.

There are over 50 types of plants in Kitsumon that you can grow and use in cooking, alchemy, crafting, and more. You can also sell almost all the plants that you have grown in the marketplace to other players who are interested in buying them. Planting seeds, raising the plants, curing their diseases and harvesting them all will give you farming XP and will help you progress further in farming.

Weeds are plants that regularly grow all across your land. They are mostly disruptive but you can still produce hay from them and feed your animals with it. They stop plants from growing and prevent water from reaching your plants. Thus, it is recommended to remove them with a rake as soon as possible.

Grass is used to prevent weeds from growing. Weeds cannot grow on tiles that have grass on them. Unlike almost all plants, grass won’t get diseases unless you forget to water them and they can protect your other plants from weeds if you plant grass beside them.

There are various types of bushes in the game. Bushes cannot regrow once they are harvested. Tomatoes, eggplants, strawberries and cucumbers are all bushes.

Oaks, willows, and yews are examples of wood trees. Once they are fully grown, they can be chopped down for different types of wood that can be used in constructing various types of tools and buildings.

There are 10 types of fruit trees that you can grow on your farm in Kitsumon. Apples, Oranges, Pineapples, Mangos and Bananas are all fruits that grow on trees. Fruit trees regrow fruits after harvest once every certain period and you can continue to benefit from them as long as they are healthy. If you need, you can chop down fruit trees to gain burning wood but we don’t recommend it!

Magic trees will give you magic fruits that you can use to create magical potions in alchemy. There are 3 types of magic trees in the game, each with a unique fruit that can be turned into potions that temporarily boost your stats and grant you special abilities that you cannot gain in any other way!

The main purpose of flowers is to protect other plants from diseases. Different flowers protect different types of plants; Plant the right flower beside a plant to protect it from diseases and guarantee a healthy plant with all the harvests you need. You can extract oil from some types of flowers like sunflowers to use in cooking.

Carrots, beets, potatoes, etc. are all types of roots. Roots can be used in cooking. Roots must be harvested using a shovel and are one of the most common, yet most useful plants in the game.

Wheat, Barley, Rice, and corn are categorized as cereals in this game. Cereals can be processed in mills to produce floor, grains of rice and more, and be used in cooking. You can also feed your animals with cereals.

There are various types of mushrooms that you can grow. Most of them are used in cooking but some of them can be used in alchemy to create some really weird potions! Mushrooms only grow in greenhouses and Kitsus really love the taste of them. There is also a unique type of mushroom that only grows in the moon touched biome that we will allow you to experience for yourselves!
