Challenge your skills and patience in the Glacier biome, and see what you are made of! Much like the Oasis biome, the Glaciers are also a rare type of biome that can only be found within another specific area. While the Oasis biome brings a lot of positives and some negatives, the Glaciers retain a lot more of the challenging aspects of the area that surrounds them. Since they are covered with ice, exploring them can be quite tricky for inexperienced players who are lacking the right equipment. However, in return for these tricky conditions, some extraordinary perks can be found in the Glaciers as well. Sitting on top of a vast icy ocean, the Glacier biome is ideal for progressing in the Fishing profession and also boasts some rare items and big stat-boosts. So grab your fishing rods and dress warmly, before jumping onto the Glaciers!

Effects on Professions

Glaciers have strong positive and negative effects on most professions. Generally speaking, many of the Glaciers’ effects are a more extreme version of the Snow biome, without the changes based on profession levels. Below is a detailed breakdown of all the Profession effects.

Farming:

• 40% growth speed decrease for all plants and animals
• Chances of getting sick decrease by 50% for all plants and animals
• Most types of flowers and herbs don’t grow in this biome
• Fruits and cereals have a 20% chance of dropping double harvest

Mining:

• Rare rock spawn rate is 10% lower in this biome
• Mine Layer 5 is not toxic in this biome

Cooking:

• XP increase for leveling up is increased by 6% per level (XP increase will be 11% per level instead of 10.4%)
• Cooking speed decreases by 20% on fireplaces
• The chance to burn food is zero in this biome
• One type of Special Stew and one type of Special Dish can only be cooked in this biome

Crafting:

• Every single type of tool in this biome has double endurance
• Making buildings gives 20% more XP
• Making Automated Machines gives 25% more XP
• One type of automated machine is only craftable here

Alchemy:

• The chance to fail for all Boiled Potions is zero in this biome
• The chance to fail at all the other items is increased by 7%

Fishing:

• Fishing XP for all players who own a land in the glacier biome increases by 15% for all fishing activities (even if the activity is outside of your glacier land plot)
• Aquarium Level 4 can only be used in this biome
• Chances to catch rare fish are increased by 10% for all players who own a land in the glacier biome
• Breeding chance is increased for all fish (both pond and aquarium) by 13%

Similar to the Oasis, only a small amount of the Kitsumon world consists of Glaciers. The extereme stat alterations make this land a perfect land for those who know exactly what they want from the game. Moreover, since this biome is the only one where you can make certain special dishes and machines, you will be able to sell these machines for a higher price. The Glaciers are also the only biome where you can have a level 4 aquarium; Thus, lands in this biome will become highly valuable for players who want to gain income from fishing.
