Get into farming or benefit from the stat improvements to fishing that this biome offers, but be careful, as beneficial as these lands are for your crops and animals, they help out weeds and diseases just as much! So be ready to keep your farm in order, keep your animals safe, and explore the swamps to fight strange monsters and discover hidden treasure. The swamps offer something for everyone, from tough challenges to friendly quest-giving NPCs, as long as you proceed with caution the Swamps are sure to give you a good time.

Effects on Professions

Swamps have nutritious soil and plenty of water, leading to fast growth. In this biome you can expect almost everything to grow faster and even sometimes give you a bigger harvest. The humidity and the abundant ponds in these regions will also guarantee more fish and better stats for fishing in general. However, all this also offers a suitable environment for weeds and diseases to flourish. So, make sure you securely protect your animals and plants while farming in the Swamps for optimal results. Swamps also offer a variety of stat alterations for other professions as well.

Farming:

• 10% growing speed increase for ALL plants and animals
• 5% XP increase for growing and harvesting cereals and herbs
• 10% increased disease chance for all animals and plants
• 10% increased chance for weeds to grow
• Farming tool endurance decreases 10% faster (does not affect automated machines)
• 10% increased chance for crops to be attacked by crows

Mining:

• 2% Mining XP decrease
• 15% lower chance of rare rocks spawning
• Mining tool endurance decreases 10% faster

Cooking:

• 5% XP increase for cooking all food types including vegetables
• 10% cooking speed increase (for all methods)

Crafting:

• Chance to fail at crafting increases by 6% (all craftables except buildings are affected)

Alchemy:

• XP increase for leveling up increased by 1.5% per level (XP increase will be 9.6% per level instead of 9.4%)
• 10% XP increase for making all potions that include herbs
• 5% increased chance for boiling potions to explode during production
• 1 type of magic tree can’t be grown in this biome
• 1 type of magic herb only grows in this biome

Fishing:

• 5% Fishing XP increase for all fishing activities
• Pond fish breeding chance is increased by 10%
• 2% more KANDY gained from aquariums

Swamps are for players who are more invested in farming and fishing, like to make potions, but are also ready to deal with all the unwanted things that might disturb their ideal progress! Mining in these lands has its own drawbacks, so if you are interested in mining you might want to choose other biomes or proceed with full insight on what awaits! Swamps are one of the biomes with the highest number of NPCs. They usually give you new interesting quests to follow and offer you great rewards for it. Other than the friendly NPCs and charming cities, swamps are also the natural habitat of swamp monsters! These monsters are hard to find and hard to kill, but if you do manage to hunt one, you are in luck because they drop rare materials that can be used in crafting valuable items.
