City Dream, Country Dream

Shutting out the world,
Eyes closed tight.
I feel your arms around my chest.
Your warm wheeze down my neck.
Your fingers tracing hearts on my thigh.

Light invades
As my eyes pop open.
I’m here; you’re there.
You’re having a slow reality
Wrapped in the fertility of country spring.
I’m running a race
Among the ruins of urban decay in a mad world.

Neither of us is together where we belong.
I can’t hold my breath and wait.
Soon, lover, soon…
I’ll wrap your arms around me
For the reality of where I’ve always belonged.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
