The crazy little ewe-lamb doesn’t understand a flock;
She’d rather run to lonely pastures where the wolves scent and run amok.

The thrill of running with the wolves alone to a strange shepherd flute
Beats out quiet grazing by peaceful pasture rocks, slowly going mute.

Raised by wolves far from the sheep,
She finds the flock’s bleating makes her crawl and creep.

She tumbles in, stumbles in after running with the pack;
The lambs and ewes and even rams stand far, stand away, stand back.

She can’t explain it to them,
And they don’t comprehend.
The shepherd made her different.

Wolf DNA twists around inside her, causing her to leap.
They say one day she’ll go too far, too deep.
The wolves will kill her and them while they are all asleep.

She can’t stop now; she won’t stop now.
It’s in her blood; it’s in her soul.
She’s dumb as sheep and wolf howls make her whole.
