All lost in the time
We’d sit for tea.
Flames ravaging memories…
Waltzing grandparents shrouded in cinder and charred plaster.
Verbally sparring siblings shrouded in soot and acrid smoke.
Family movie fun fades to wreck and ruin.
But people and pets aren’t things.
We have each other
In this precious dance of life.
And our chaos will continue
With joy and faith.
