Climb on in!
It’s great!
They cry and beg and plead.
You’ll love it.
It’s an online library at your fingertips.

They say this as they adjust their blindfolds
To ensure a deep and dazzling blindness.

They can’t see the web
As an information super highway to hell,
Wrapping us in netting,
Dragging us down,
In too much information…
…too many masquerades
…too many overwhelming lies and misinformation.

Yes, yes, I am a hypocrite. I hate it, and I used it, and I love what I find, and I hate what dishonest people do on it.

How wretched I am.
Nothing can save the world now.
We are netted to the ocean’s floor
Under a tsunami of technology and information
As society becomes a dystopian graveyard
Devoid of human touch and connection.
