Humility…
Humiliation…
Same root,
Different meanings…
Yet perception is the difference,
And no one seems to care.
One is strength
To think, to change, to submit, to grow.
The other is abuse
To force the former.
Humility does not result from humiliation.
Although humiliation could be
On the path to humility,
The step is broken, tainted, toxic.
The abuse of humiliation
Never leads to healthy humility.
