Night Changes… Fear Not Dark

Night is falling.
Darkness already caused chaos.
Night is falling.
I cannot see the light for the storm clouds.
Night is falling.
My candles fail to lighten my burdened heart.
Night is falling.
Words of prophets, bards, and poets soothe nothing savage.
Night is falling.
My heaving chest finds no rhythm in the pressure bars.
Night is falling.

Give me just one more breath,
One more chance,
One more dream.
Let me light that candle,
Fan that flame,
Seed that future of hope.
Let me also curse the darkness,
Crush the foe,
Foil the schemes.

Night should never be feared.
Night should be a time of refreshing.
Fear rather the darkness of soul
That seeks to destroy all
That’s pure and good and right.
Fear rather the darkness of heart
That refuses to believe
That all have just a tiny spark of good.
Fear rather the darkness of mind
That tries to manipulate and control
For selfish gain.

Fear not.
Dance with joy.
Live with strength.
Love with reckless abandon.
