Based loosely on Nehemiah 13: 14 (ESV), 22b (ESV, TLV, NKJV), 31b (ESV)

Remember us Lord for teaching Your children, those who serve You and those who don’t. Remember the hours of planning, the times we use our own resources for supplies, the hours of grading and helping the faltering. Don’t let what we do for You in these students be forgotten, even if only You remember.

Remember us and the things we do to improve our teaching. Spare us from those evils that won’t lead to our good; spare us according to the depths of Your great mercy and love.

Remember all of America’s teachers with grace and favor, O Lord, for the good we do and the kindnesses we show.
