Restoring Education: Praying Nehemiah 2

Based loosely on Nehemiah 2:8b (ESV), 17 (NKJV), 20 (TLV)

O Lord, give us grace and favor that when we ask for good things on behalf of our students, our administrators grant us what we ask. Even if they don’t know You, let them somehow see Your good hand on us as You are our Lord and Master, leading us and guiding us.

Lord, you see the distress our educational system is in. Our students are struggling to keep up, and we Your servants are burning out as we lead them to deeper levels of knowledge in a world that ever increases with the speed and complexity of change. Help us rebuild American education, that America is once again a global leader and no longer a laughingstock.

Our God, the God of the Universe, will help us succeed. Because we serve Him, we will work to rebuild and restore our educational system. However, let us be humble enough to know we may never appear by name in the pages of history.
