200 people, 35 teams, 3 days — Kiuas Team Up 2017!
Two weeks ago Kiuas TeamUp gathered couple of hundred talents under one roof of StartUp Sauna. You could feel that high concentration of ideas. All supported by a shared passion — entrepreneurship!
Kiuas Team Up was about finding co-founders, exploring the possibilities of entrepreneurship, and running with wild business ideas for 3 days.

Day 1
When about TWO hundred ambitious folks with hunger for unique experiences came in, the Sauna filled up with energy.
The event opened up with the keynote sessions from our partners and previous winners of Team Up. Motivational presentations on how to build successful businesses and lead the market heated up the place, getting ready participants to team up.

First things first, pizza and beer for energy boost and people were eager to network. It started with 8 tracks, where one could share interests and plans with likeminded people. Ideas flow and teaming were on the run.
Next, “1-minute” pitching for the bravest. Volunteers came to the stage as individuals to excite others about their ideas and impress with abilities. The amount of pitching showed the fact that people were ready. They came with high motivation to find a team to do serious business. In addition, it was a great chance for all to practice selling and advertising skills!

The final 4 minute “Speed-dating” with few rounds pushed participants to skip the small talk and go straight to the business. People shared ideas and made perfect matches within the most efficient time.

Evening continued with mingling and discussing business ideas inside the teams. Day 1 resulted in tons of generated ideas and 35 teams inspired to run for their dreams.
Day 2
The entire day was dedicated to polishing business ideas with professional coaching. Our partners form Mäkitalo, Nordea, Futurice, Spoon and Inventure were looking forward to share expertise on essential topics. Six workshop stations in Startup Sauna and Urban Mill brought exceptional values for the teams on financing, legal issues, branding, pitching, investor validation and lean startup.

Exciting day for all the parties. Teams got professional perspective on their ideas and received reasonable feedback for potential improvements. Experts had the chance to experience creative thinking with the teams and found out more about current entrepreneurship trends.
Day 3
The final and the most exciting day! After a giant amount of work, it was the time to reveal ideas!
35 teams rocked the stage to bring fresh solutions to the world. Show began! Three main stages in Startup Sauna and Urban Mill witnessed amazing presentations on diversity of topics. However, it was more than just presenting business ideas. Teams showed readiness to hard work and move forward as one.

At the end, our honorable judges including Moaffak Ahmed, Kristo Ovaska, Inka Mero, Jari Pasanen and Anssi Vanjoki chose the most exceptional teams ready to start up!
