We’re thrilled to release episode #1 of the Klaviyo Design Podcast. This podcast will hopefully serve the broader world of design and the creative community navigating through conversations about graphic design, digital design, career advice, and other topics that are sure to be of interest to designers looking to grow professionally in their careers.

Given that this is Klaviyo Design’s inaugural podcast, it makes sense to start from the beginning, literally. Jake Cohen, Director of Product Management, talks with the design team at Klaviyo about how we got started and what we’ve learned in the years since.

About the episode

This is a deep dive into what got us interested in design, what our first design jobs were and we talk about the mistakes we’ve made. We answer the question ”If you could go back in time, what would you tell yourself”.

Also in this episode

  • Moms have good and honest feedback
  • Designers can seem like magicians to other people
  • Keep old portfolio pieces to look back on and see how much you’ve improved
