Hintchain’s ‘Haemuk Life’ application to be integrated with Klip —Kakao’s digital wallet service

Hintchain is an official Initial Service Partner of Klaytn. A partner introduction was released back in November 2018. The Klaytn team visited their office and sat down with Vital Hint’s CEO for a candid conversation. It pleases us to see that Klaytn’s partnerships are progressing strongly and adoption is on the horizon.
About Hintchain
Hintchain is a blockchain-based food data project for personalized food recommendations and solutions founded by Vital Hint. It aims to create customer food profiles by analyzing personal food taste and customer behavior, i.e. eating habits. Their so-called food protocol provides AI-based food recommendations to consumers and a target marketing tool for business participants. The end goal is to provide the food industry with a more customer-centric business model. The project boasts its applicability as an underlying infrastructure technology for all food-related sectors including restaurants, convenience stores, supermarkets, food platforms, etc.
Hintchain launched a beta version of its ‘Haemuk Life’ application
Vital Hint Korea, the company behind Hintchain, announced on the 12th of May that it had launched a web version of the Haemuk Life beta service. It can be accessed via https://haemuklife.com.
The future full-service release will use the Hint token (HINT) within the ‘Haemuk’ application. As previously explained, Haemuk is a customized cooking recommendation app with over 3 million users. ‘Haemuk Life’ is one of Haemuk’s services, providing online experience classes in different lifestyle areas such as home training, diet, and yoga as well as cooking.
According to HintChain’s latest blog, paid content such as online classes will be one way of creating HINT tokens utility. As Hinthain put it; “Paid content is purchasable with Korean won, while HINT will be actively used for various promotions and discounts.”
In addition, HintChain announced that its Haemuk app would be integrated with Kakao’s digital wallet service application ‘Klip’, which will be released in June. ‘Hint Membership’, which uses HINT in an offline restaurant, will also be integrated with the Hammock app in the coming three quarters. It seems that the HINT obtained in the Hammock app will be used in the Hint membership affiliate stores and digitally managed through Klip.
CEO JiWoong Chung of Vital Hint Korea explained the rationale behind launching Hammock Life, saying, “We decided to expand the service to solve lifestyle concerns such as diet and yoga beyond the ‘the good way to eat’ hammock.” He said, “We have taken the first step toward a comprehensive lifestyle platform through long-term habits and consumer data analysis. I look forward to solving the concerns about self-management and well being, which is, living healthy and well.”
Why does the integration with Klip matter
As some of you may already know, Kakao is planning to launch Klip — its digital wallet service which will be integrated into Kakao Talk with over 50M active monthly users — in June 2020.
