The Windshield Repair Guy Was Forced to Reschedule

We were scheduled to get our windshield replaced after the accident a couple of weeks ago

We didn’t know until the day of the scheduled installation how bad the weather was going to be. There was a forecast of wind and rain with strong gusts at times. There were going to be extended breaks in the rain but they were uncertain as to when they would be.

As common sense would dictate, it’s very hard to do an outdoor windshield repair when you have to take off a windshield when it’s raining. For the urethane to allow the windshield to set, the sun needs to help dry it and the rain would hinder the process as well.

It was much too risky of a job to come over and do, especially for the price we were paying him to do it. As we expected, he canceled at the last minute of our 10 am to 1 pm window as none of us knew if or when the rain would stop in that time frame.

The forecast kept changing throughout the day and made it way too uncertain and unlikely that we would even get to do it today. Now we leave for the campground later today and we still have a busted windshield.

We will have to reschedule either during camping or after we come back to the travel center in ten days. I just know that we already had the money set aside specifically for that and we’re ready to take care of that so that we can be on our way once we’re done camping.

The windshield repair is definitely not a hard one. The person doing it just needs semi-ideal conditions to complete it effectively. I can’t wait to find out when we will get it fixed at this point. Stay tuned.
