About Klipsun Magazine

Klipsun is a Chinuk Wawa word for sunset.

KLIPSUN Magazine is an independent award-winning student publication generating long-form journalism at Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington. While Klipsun has existed in one form or another since 1920, it has recently become a digital-first publication with new stories released each quarter. Each edition includes feature stories, video projects, personal narratives and opinion pieces of interest to those living in the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
