The Arizona Fall League officially gets underway today (Monday, October 3) and the Charlotte Knights will be well represented.

The Glendale Desert Dogs will feature three players with ties to the Charlotte Knights in 2022 — all pitchers: RHP Declan Cronin, RHP Lane Ramsey & LHP Sammy Peralta.

Here’s part 1 of this 3-part series: DECLAN CRONIN — RHP

RHP Declan Cronin was promoted to the Knights from Double-A Birmingham on June 20 and was solid out of the Charlotte bullpen this past season.

In 27 games with the Knights in 2022, Cronin posted a 1–0 record with one save and a 3.52 ERA over 23.0 innings pitched.

Cronin began the 2022 campaign with the Barons and went 1–2 with one save and a 3.86 ERA in 22 games (one start).

The 25-year-old was originally selected by the White Sox in the 36th round of the 2019 First-Year Player Draft out of Holy Cross in Worcester, MA. He was named First-Team All-Patriot League and Academic All-Patriot League in 2019.
