Throughout the 2017 season, the Charlotte Knights welcomed former Major League All-Stars, MVPs, World Series winners, and many other recognizable players and celebrities.

Over the course of the next couple of weeks, I’ll have a look back at some of the legends who spent time at BB&T Ballpark in 2017. It was a “who’s who” lineup this season.

On Wednesday, June 14th, the Knights welcomed Brian Jordan to BB&T Ballpark to meet fans and sign autographs. Jordan, a 1999 National League All-Star, was a great addition to the team’s 2017 Harris Teeter & Gain Celeb Series.

On the day of his appearance, Jordan arrived to BB&T Ballpark during Charlotte’s batting practice and caught up with his former teammate — Knights manager Mark Grudzielanek.

Before the game, he also spoke to the media about his time as a baseball player and a football player. Jordan, a two-sport star, was a popular player during his days. He’s still in the game today working with the Atlanta Braves as an analyst on FOX Sports South.

Jordan’s appearance at BB&T Ballpark on June 14th went very well. He was accommodating to fans, and very enjoyable to be around for the day. I enjoyed talking baseball with him. He spent a lot of time signing autographs and taking photos with fans — and certainly we appreciate his time that day.

Over the years, the Knights have welcomed numerous former Atlanta Braves players to the ballpark — and each time — they are always very popular with the fans.

Former Braves players such as Dale Murphy, Sid Bream, and Javy Lopez have signed autographs for fans. We brought Murphy in twice (once at Knights Stadium and once at BB&T Ballpark)!

You can bet that in 2018 there will be another former Braves player on hand to sign autographs. Have a suggestion on who it should be? Leave me a comment.
