KNIGHT LIGHTS: The Knights will continue a six-game homestand against the Norfolk Tides (Triple-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles) from Truist Field tonight with a 7:04 p.m. game for game five of the series. The Knights are 7–6 so far this season at home.

KNIGHTS VS. TIDES: Last season, the Knights went just 5–13 against the Tides overall and are now 2–2 so far this season in the first four games of this series. So far this season, the Tides are 17–7, which is the best mark in the International League (a .708 winning percentage).

ABOUT LAST KNIGHT
: OF Víctor Reyes led the way for the Charlotte Knights as they split a doubleheader with the Norfolk Tides as he accumulated five RBI on the night. The Knights won game one 6–3 and dropped the doubleheader’s nightcap at Truist Field, 8–4.

REHABBING: Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson, who is currently on the team’s 10-day injured list, began a Major League Baseball rehab assignment with the Charlotte Knights last night at Truist Field. He went 0-for-4 with an RBI. Anderson, 29, was placed on Chicago’s 10-day injured list on April 11 with a left knee sprain. The Tuscaloosa, AL native has appeared in 11 games this season with the White Sox and has a .298 batting average (14-for-47) with nine runs scored, five doubles, four RBI and five stolen bases.

MORE REHAB NEWS: Additionally, White Sox infielder Hanser Alberto also began a rehab stint last night. He went 3-for-3 with a double and run scored. Alberto, 30, is currently on Chicago’s 15-day injured list with a strained left quad. He was signed by the White Sox as a free agent on January 11, 2023. Both Alberto and Anderson only played game one of yesterday’s twin bill.

TOKNIGHTS STARTER: RHP Luke Farrell (NR), who was signed by the Chicago White Sox as a free agent on April 17, was promoted to the Charlotte Knightson April 25 from Extended Spring Training. He will make his Knights debut today.

MORE ON LUKE FARRELL: Farrell, 31, was originally drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the sixth round of the 2013 MLB June Amateur Draft out of Northwestern University. He split the 2022 season between the Chicago Cubs and Cincinnati Reds, tossing 15.0 IP combined innings. He has appeared at the major-league level over parts of six seasons (2017–22) and is 5–5 with a 5.00 ERA in 69 games (102.2 innings pitched).

FRAZIER’S KNIGHTS DEBUT: OF Clint Frazier made his Charlotte debut last night. He went 0-for-3. was signed by the Chicago White Sox organization and assigned to Charlotte’s active roster today. Frazier, 28, has appeared in the majors over parts of six seasons with the New York Yankees (2017–21) and Chicago Cubs (2022). In 247 games played, he owns a .238 batting average (177-for-744) with 104 runs scored, 44 doubles, five triples, 29 home runs, 98 RBI and eight stolen bases. He was originally selected by Cleveland in the first round (5th overall) of the 2013 MLB June Amateur Draft. Most recently, Frazier signed a minor-league contract with the Texas Rangers (January 27, 2023) and appeared in 15 games with Triple-A Round Rock. He hit .250 (13-for-52) with six runs scored, five doubles, one triple, one home run and four RBI. He was released on April 25.

: As a team, the Knights currently rank second in the International League in fielding percentage with a .987 mark — behind leader Memphis (.989). As a team, the Knights are also second behind Memphis for the least amount of errors with 11 (Memphis has 10).
