RHP Davis Martin was promoted to the Charlotte Knights from Double-A Birmingham on Thursday, May 5. A day later, he impressed in his Triple-A debut.

TRIPLE- A DEBUT
Martin (1–0, 3.00) was superb in his Triple-A debut. The Abilene, TX native allowed just two runs over six impressive innings to earn his first career Triple-A win. He walked just one batter and fanned four.

2022 WITH BIRMINGHAM
Martin, 25, began the season with the Barons and posted a 2–1 record with a 3.00 ERA in five starts. In his 24 innings pitched over those five starts, the Abilene, Texas native struck-out 33 batters — good for the fourth-best mark in the Southern League at the time of his promotion. He was also among the Southern League leaders in wins (tied for fourth), innings pitched (tied for sixth) and ERA (ninth) when he was moved up to Charlotte on Thursday.

Martin was selected by the Chicago White Sox in the 14th round of the 2018 First-Year Player Draft out of Texas Tech University.
