RHP Donny Roach has already had a season to remember. And, it’s only getting better.

On Wednesday, June 13th in Durham, NC against the Durham Bulls, Roach (7–2, 2.96) was remarkable in his 13th start of the season.

The 28-year-old right-hander, who spent the 2017 season pitching in Korea, struck-out a season-best nine batters over seven scoreless frames. He allowed just five hits and one walk on the night en route to his team-high seventh win of the season. It was one of his finest performances of the season.

Roach is tied for first in the IL in games started, second in wins, and eighth in ERA. He has now won each of his last four starts and is 3–0 with a 0.87 ERA in three June starts.

For the season, Roach has tossed quality starts in 11 of his 13 outings — pitching at least six innings in all but one start. He has gone seven innings on three occasions, including in his most recent start.

Roach, who signed a free agent contract with the Chicago White Sox in the offseason, has certainly been a key member of the Charlotte Knights — including the club’s recent hot streak.

It’s safe to say, Donny Roach has been a terrific signing for the organization and has found an important role in the White Sox system so far.
