RHP Dylan Covey recalled by Chicago White Sox

Notes: RHP Dylan Covey was recalled to Chicago today. He did not pitch for the Knights after being optioned from the Chicago White Sox on Sunday, July 28. Earlier in the season with the Knights, Covey, 27, posted a 0–0 mark with a 1.85 ERA in eight games (six starts) over 24.1 innings pitched. He is 1–7 with a 6.99 ERA in 14 appearances (10 starts) with the White Sox this season (47.2 innings pitched).

1B AJ Reed was optioned to the Charlotte Knights after Chicago’s game on Thursday. Today, Reed was added to Charlotte’s active roster. He appeared in 14 games with the Chicago White Sox this season after he was claimed off waivers from the Houston Astros on July 8. He hit .136 (6-for-44) with one home run and four RBIs with the White Sox.
