The Charlotte Knights have announced six roster moves before today’s 1:05 p.m. finale in Norfolk, VA against the Norfolk Tides.

First, the Chicago White Sox optioned RHP Carson Fulmer and RHP José Ruiz to Charlotte after their game last night. Fulmer, 25, went 1–1 with a 6.97 ERA in eight relief appearances over two stints with the White Sox this season, while Ruiz, 24, went 0–0 with a 5.40 ERA in 11 games this season with the White Sox.

Taking their place in Chicago are LHP Caleb Frare and RHP Juan Minaya, who were recalled today from Charlotte. The Knights have now sent 10 players to the Chicago White Sox this season. Those players, in order of their promotion to Chicago: RHP Carson Fulmer (April 8 & April 18), LHP Josh Osich (April 12), OF Ryan Cordell (April 18), OF Nicky Delmonico (April 22), LHP Aaron Bummer (April 28), RHP Thyago Vieira (April 28 & May 1), RHP Dylan Covey (April 30), RHP Evan Marshall (May 1), RHP Juan Minaya (May 5), and LHP Caleb Frare (May 5).

Additionally, RHP Jake Elliott was promoted to the Charlotte Knights today from High-A Winston-Salem, and LHP Justin Nicolino was signed by the White Sox. Nicolino, who was recently released by the Minnesota Twins, went 1–1 with a 5.12 ERA in four games (three starts) with the Rochester Red Wings this season (19.1 IP). Elliott has gone 3–0 with a 5.02 ERA in seven games (one start) over 14.1 innings pitched with the Dash this season.
