Let’s take a look back at some of the former Charlotte Knights in action on Saturday, March 27 — the final Saturday game of the Spring Training season!

YOÁN MONCADA — It has certainly been an impressive spring for Moncada at the plate. Healthy now after his bout with COVID-19 last summer, Moncada has put together a remarkable spring with the Chicago White Sox. In 18 games this spring, the Cuban native is hitting .333 (16-for-48) with eight runs scored, seven doubles, one triple, one home run, four RBIs and one stolen base. On Saturday, he went 3-for-4 and was a home run shy of the cycle.

The 25-year-old has reached base in his last 17 games. His first home run of the spring came on Friday.

DANNY MENDICK — A two-run single for Mendick in the eighth inning of Saturday’s game gave the former Knights infielder seven for the spring season. The versatile infielder has four hits over his last five games.

LUCAS GIOLITO — In his final start of the Cactus League season on Saturday, Lucas Giolito once again dominated. The former Knights hurler fanned nine batters over 5.2 innings pitched en route to his second win of the spring. He allowed just two hits and three walks over his scoreless 5.2 innings. For the spring, Giolito struck-out 30 batters over 23 innings and went 2–1 with a 1.17 ERA.

TIM ANDERSON — With another two-hit game on Saturday, Anderson has been red-hot as the spring season comes to a close. The former Knights shortstop has hit safely in his last six games and has 10 hits over that stretch. He’s bumped up his average to .309 — another impressive spring for the talented infielder.

CARSON FULMER — It’s been a busy offseason and spring for Fulmer. On his fifth team since last July, Fulmer made his second appearance of the spring on Saturday with his newest team — the Cincinnati Reds. Trying to nail down a roster spot in the team’s bullpen, he struck-out two batters and allowed one run in an inning. He tossed a scoreless 1–2–3 frame against his former team, the Chicago White Sox, in his Cincinnati debut on March 25. He is 1–0 with a 4.50 ERA in five games this spring (three of those came with the Pittsburgh Pirates).
