Let’s take a look at some of the former Charlotte Knights in action on Friday, March 5, 2021 in Spring Training games:

ZACK BURDI — The 25-year-old right-handed pitcher made an impressive appearance out of the Chicago White Sox bullpen on Friday. Burdi retired all three batters he faced in the fifth inning and struck-out one batter (Dylan Moore). He also got reigning American League Rookie of the Year, Kyle Lewis, to fly out. It was a solid follow-up appearance for Burdi after allowing two runs in an inning of work in his first spring outing this season.

The Downers Grove, IL native made his major league debut last year with Chicago (August 8, 2020) and appeared in eight games with the White Sox — his first taste of the bigs. He was originally selected in the first round of the 2016 First-Year Player Draft by the Chicago White Sox (26th overall).

LUIS ROBERT — Chicago’s young phenom has four hits through his first three games of the Cactus League season. Robert, 23, is 4-for-8 (.500) at the plate with two doubles, one run scored and one RBI. The talented Cuban native will look to build off a solid 2020 rookie campaign in which he finished second in the American League in Rookie of the Year voting.

SEBY ZAVALA — Starting for the White Sox behind the plate on Friday, Zavala went 1-for-2 and threw out a runner at second base. It was a solid showing for Zavala, who has appeared in four games this spring and is among a handful of catchers on Chicago’s roster.
