1st Trad Multi Pitch to Free Solo

The Flat Irons: Boulder Colorado

5am, July 14th. Met up at the trailhead in boulder Colorado to climb. We hiked up the trail just before sunrise and started climbing right as the sun came up.

We did the first couple pitches on rope and practiced placing trad gear. It was my first time placing gear like that on a multipitch. Great practice.

After we we did the first couple pitches we put the rope away and freed the rest of the route. It was easy climbing so no problem getting up.

The view from up top was amazing. More free climbing and trad to come for sure!
