Many years ago we found a group we wanted to be part of, so we started making plans to join. Meetings, forms, interviews, checks(2009).

But then when we were on the eve of joining we parted ways for a time (2012). For practical reasons, and also I felt misunderstood.

We yelled “plot twist!” and created a new chapter of our lives.

A few years later we picked up the threads again (2015). Reconnected, began the process of joining AGAIN.

But then when we were on the eve of joining we parted ways (2017). For practical reasons, and also I felt misunderstood.

We yelled “plot twist!” and created a new chapter of our lives.

A few years later we picked up the threads again (2019). Reconnected, began the process of joining AGAIN.

Now here we are a couple of years later, on the eve of joining AGAIN.

Practical reasons still stand in our way or rather stand in our way again. I don’t feel misunderstood though.

We just spent more than a year reconnecting. What was the point of it if we are just going to part ways again? Perhaps leaving in a situation where I don’t feel misunderstood will mean it won’t have such a painful ongoing impact?

I could go either way at this time. Do the same familiar plot twist or join once and for all. Actually, no, I feel like I can’t do either right now.
