A Path Well Traveled
Thursday Poetry Challenge
There is beauty in a well-traveled path
Familiar scenes abound, new wonders too!
Each step practiced and very true
But each time down the the path all new!
Paths you have so often walked,
barefoot, blindfold, no false steps.
There are new paths that feel the same.
Virgin walk that feels like cobbled way,
Unknown terrain but feel no pain
Quick comfy pace found, walk feels endless
and not even a warmup all at once.
An interaction with a new acquaintance,
a treasured tradition with a timeless friend.
should be both from first hello to farewell hug.
As familiar as a well traveled path yet
as wonderous as breaking a brand new trail.
I wish each interaction, with each person I meet
Feels like both well-traveled path and fresh new
ground, adventures new, memories old, new moments
shared as long as we’re paired.
