Who Or What Is Nurturing Our Kids?
Kids today glean reality
From the neuropathways
Of Artificial Inteligence.
Adios to existential enlightenment
By any means analog, empirical,
Or what their novel little imaginations
Conjure from words on a page.
We pacify our babies
With a computer interface
Before they have bonded
With Mom and Dad’s face.
We thrust artificial reality
Upon their young psychē
Before they know the real deal.
Their formative years
Are influenced and shaped
By a third party’s Artificial Ideas.
Soon, kids won’t go to a school,
Social skills will be taught,
Socialization ignored.
How will they learn
The joys and woes
Of doing unto others
If they never get to?
Then we send them into the world
Without the means to cope,
With misconceptions of reality
And the ways of the world.
