Between Then and Now

Minutes and Years Fly By

Moments made up
of miniscule seconds
in the greater scheme
of time fly by…

The older you get the
more you realize
those were times
that made you
feel alive.

Children playing
in the house with
tennis balls,
bouncing off
the walls.

Teens pushing your
buttons wanting to
stay out until
midnight.

Crabby husband
snapping at you
that the money
is tight.

Situations that rub
you the wrong way
and raise your blood
pressure on the guage.

Yet, looking
back, you wouldn’t
have had it any other
way.

Life in a family will always have its moments of chaos. Tough times though rough as they were are also some of the most memorable.

Thank you for taking your precious time to read these words today.🙏
