Regret for the things we did can be tempered by time; it is regret for the things we did not do that is inconsolable. Sydney J. Harris

Prompt: Immediate fun or longer purpose, what do I choose?

Do you ever feel like all you do is work, eat, try to sleep, and repeat?

We've all been there. You ask yourself - was I born only to work and pay bills??

What about postponing "fun" until the time is right?

Often, you wait until you have enough money, time, or energy before you schedule any fun time.

Soul-crushingly, it's the easiest thing to ignore on your to-do list.

Do you notice how you feel energized for a week or so when you take a day trip or see a live show?

That's your soul telling you you're doing it right.

It's why you feel "alive" instead of just going through the motions of life.

It's all about having fun.

Long-term goals are necessary, but you feel cheated if you don't enjoy the ride.
