Choose Gentleness

A tender language must be spoken prompt post

Choose tenderness:
one word, look, or action
has the power to change:
the course of a life,
the outcome you’re seeking
the actions of those around you.

Use words to encourage and breathe
fresh air into those around you,
to support causes you believe in.
Use arms to comfort, welcome,
to show both love and appreciation.
Carry a gentle tone, it’s a healing balm.

You choose the language you speak.
There’s a way to get your point across
without being harsh and discouraging.

Being gentle with ourselves
can be an art form- we’re programmed
to keep pushing, striving, working.
We beat ourselves up instead of
practicing tender reflection and words
that encourages us to get back on track.

If we extend kindness to ourselves
it’s healthier. Reframe, refocus, recommit.
Be proud of small steps of progress.
